Process: 

1.In September 2010, our company and the Shandong Guangrao Yu Li Chemical Co., Ltd. signed the general contract of the castor seed oil project, which mainly includes 100 tons / day castor seed oil production workshop, 50 tons / day castor oil continuous refining workshop, and the installation and commissioning of the full set of equipment.

2.Castor oil is derived from the castor seeds (oil containing about 50%). The oil content of seeds after shelling is as high as nearly 70%, and protein content is about 18%. Castor oil is the only commercial oil with hydroxyl radical. Castor is mainly cultivated in Brazil, India and the former Soviet Union,and it is planted in all provinces in China.

3.Castor oil is not edible. With high economic value, it is a medicinal laxative.Textile, chemical and light industry departments use castor oil as a dyeing agent, lubricant, plasticizer, emulsifier  and raw materials for making paint, paint, soap and ink.

4.The methods of making castor oil using oil equipment mainly include mechanical press and solvent extraction. 

Mechanical pressing method:

It is the way to directly squeeze grease from castor oil by external pressure. The technology is further divided into two processes: static pressing and dynamic pressing. The static pressing method is a single direction press method. The hydraulic press is the main oil pressing machine , which is pressed by the pressure generated by the hydraulic pressure. The screw press is the main oil pressing machine used in dynamic pressing, which is a continuous and multi-directional crushing process. The residual oil rate of the dynamic press is relatively low, because the material is pushed and squeezed when the screw press is pressed.The process of feeding and unloading is less. The pressing time is reduced.

Solvent extraction method:

The principle of oil pressing by solvent extraction is that chemical reagents are similar to vegetable oils. Compared with the mechanical press method, solvent extraction for oil and grease equipment has the disadvantages of small volume, large area and long production cycle. At the same time, in the process of solvent extraction of oil, chemical reagents will inevitably remain in castor oil, reducing the quality of oil, volatilizing into the air and affecting the environment.
