In February 10, 2017, the National Development and Reform Commission issued "the 13th Five-Year plan for National Rural Biogas Development". "The plan" pointed out that the total investment of rural biogas project is 50 billion yuan during the "13th Five-Year plan".It is a significant increase in the level of biogas.There are 172 the new large-scale biogas projects, and 3135 the new large-scale methane projects. Ecological and social benefits are more significant.  The capacity of new straw processing are 8.64 million tons and livestock and poultry manure processing are 71.83 million tons in rural biogas.Alternative fossil energy 3.49 million tons of coal, CO2 emissions reduction 17.62 million tons, cod emission reduction 3.72 million tons.Biogas consumption in rural areas has benefited more than 230 million people.
